  • Public officers will have the opportunity to engage with individuals with disabilities. This interaction aims to foster empathy, break down barriers, and promote an inclusive mindset among public officers. Through this thought-provoking session, public officers are empowered to care deeply about accessibility needs, enabling them to actively contribute in building a more inclusive society.

    [Session 1] Special Student Care Centre (SSCC) is an after-school care centre for students aged 7-18 years of age with additional learning needs. Public officers will participate and support students during enrichment activities, eg. Art & Craft.

    [Session 2] Day Activity Centre (DAC): An immersive session at AWWA’s facilities, where public officers gain first-hand insights on the vital support services rendered to adults with disabilities. Officers can expect to learn how purpose-built facilities and activity areas enable clients in developing useful life skills and engaging in meaningful activities.

The Foundry

Connecting With Our Social Enterprises

  • The Foundry is a new social impact hub that houses up to 24 non-profit organisations. Public officers can learn about the rich history of the building and the different purposes it has served over the years. They can also find out more about the support structures required by non-profits industry, and understand how the people - private and public sectors - can contribute their time and skills. Through volunteering opportunities as means of caring for the community, officers shall glean the importance of engaging the ground and understanding ground needs in this guided session.

Woodlands Health Campus

Connecting Healthcare and
the Community

  • WHC is Singapore’s newest integrated healthcare campus comprising of acute, community, and long-term care services.

    Public officers can expect to learn how policymakers leverage demographic data to design healthcare services, and how WHC’s Vibrant Campus Initiative infuses arts and culture into the healthcare setting, thus integrating the Campus with the wider community.

    This Campus brings together healthcare service providers and partners, cultivating meaningful connections amongst them. Within the community they collectively serve to enhance their overall capabilities in contributing to the residents’ health and well-being.

  • You will receive a confirmation email from PSD containing the admin brief for the learning journey after the close of the registration window. PSD will also send an email to officers who are unsuccessful to close the loop. However, do not be disheartened – if there are drop outs from the learning journeys, we will reach out to officers in this group to offer up spots for back-filling.

  • Yes. Available spots are released on first come first serve basis.

  • Come with an open mind, enthusiasm to learn, and how you can apply these insights to make a positive impact at work. Your active participation and willingness to contribute will make the experience meaningful for everyone!
