  • Public officers will be paired with experienced Sunlove staffs/volunteers for a community outreach experience. They will learn first-hand how Sunlove builds trust and rapport with seniors, particularly those who may be socially isolated or hesitant to join community activities. Officers will also gain insights on how Sunlove’s programmes are tailored to meet diverse needs - from health and wellness activities to social engagement initiatives - and understand the crucial role these centres play in promoting active ageing and preventing social isolation among Singapore’s senior population.​

Project Dignity

Connecting With Differently-abled Singaporeans and Understanding Their Needs

  • Project Dignity’s programme offers public officers a heartfelt opportunity to care for both our hawker heritage and fellow citizens who are differently-abled. Through hands-on culinary activities at Dignity Kitchen, public officers can connect by engaging with the differently-abled community. The programme includes learning basic sign language, assisting with Bento meal packing, and distributing meals to nearby residents at Dignity Kitchen.

FAQ

  • You will receive a confirmation email from PSD containing the admin brief for the learning journey after the close of the registration window. PSD will also send an email to officers who are unsuccessful to close the loop. However, do not be disheartened – if there are drop outs from the learning journeys, we will reach out to officers in this group to offer up spots for back-filling.

  • Yes. Available spots are released on first come first serve basis.

  • Come with an open mind, enthusiasm to learn, and how you can apply these insights to make a positive impact at work. Your active participation and willingness to contribute will make the experience meaningful for everyone!

  • Please check with the person in charge of the learning journey and host organisation, as different venues may have different policies on photography and recording.
